This template is 15 pages long and includes lots of photos to help you through each step. It’s written in American crochet terms.
You will need:
Yarn of your choice – the weight of the yarn doesn’t matter, the size of your astronaut will just get bigger or smaller! I used the Patons Smoothie DK Yarn and my finished astronaut is 10cm tall. You will need the following colors: white, grey, green, yellow, blue and red.
Appropriate hook size for your chosen yarn – I used a 4mm hook.
Toy stuffing for an astronaut, an alien and a flame on a rocket.
Fine thread or embroidery thread in grey, blue and red for embroidering details.
A pair of alien safety eyes – I used a pair of 12mm green cat eyes.
Some cardboard to go in the base and fins of the rocket – I used a cereal box.
If you want to attach the rocket body to its base, you will need 3 buttons (you can easily resize the buttonholes to fit most sizes). This step is optional.
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, scissors, pins and a stitch marker.
